Eight Yeshiva students whose only crime was that were Jewish, they were Israeli and they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Eight young lives snuffed out by one lone follower of the ideals and tactics of Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad -- a man given the honor of being invited to lecture on the once-proud campus of Columbia University.

Lee C. Bollinger, Columbia's Free Speech President, had the power to block Ahmadinejad's speech. But he did not. Bollinger maintained then and has yet to say otherwise, that bestowing upon Ahmadinejad the credibility that came with speaking at Columbia was a price well worth paying for the educational opportunity of hearing and questioning the madman directly.

So many inside and outside the Ivy walls of Columbia want to believe that the Ahmadinejad speech is "old news." Move on, they urge. Get a life.

The kind of life, we presume, that the eight Yeshiva students dreamed of living -- only their dreams crashed head on with Ahmadinejad's funding of Hezbullah and Hamas and other terrorist outlets.

Ahmadinejad didn't directly kill those eight students, anymore than Hitler personally killed every innocent victim who perished in the Holocaust. But Ahmadinejad inspired the killer and in all likelihood funded him, whether directly or indirectly.

And, so too, did Lee Bollinger and Columbia University.

For all his book learning, what Bollinger can't compute is that Evil has no rationale. Evil knows no logic. There is nothing to learn from Evil other than that it needs to be obliterated -- not invited to campus to win the applause of truly stupid, stupid students and their 'I-Hate-America' professors.

So Bollinger got his 15 minutes of fame and assuaged his guilt by name-calling A-Jad. Whoopee. But the blood of those eight innocent students is on his hands and that of the entire Columbia University community. And it will not be erased. Not in 15 minutes. Not in 5 months. Not in an eternity.

Like the story of Haman, who sought to murder all the Jews of 6th Century Persia, the story of Ahmadinejad and his jackass Lee Bollinger will be told and retold for centuries to come.

That Bollinger is fated to be ridiculed and despised by all good people now and in the future is little comfort to the family of the students who died so that Ahmadinejad and Bollinger might be victorious in the short run. As people of faith, however, we must believe that both Bollinger and Ahmadinejad will get their due in the next life. Amen.

Purim commemorates the reversal of fortune for the Jews of 6th Century Persia, who were facing extermination at the hands of evil Haman, a trusted adviser to the King. Thanks to the intervention of Queen Esther and her cousin, Mordecai, the King protected the Jews and instead hung Haman on the gallows he, himself, had constructed to kill Jews.

Last month, Bnai Haman said at its 2008 Purim Ball, to be held the evening of March 20, 2008, revelers will have the opportunity to dress like the biblical Purim figures or to wear masks representing those Columbia University officials most closely involved in the Ahmadinejad speech.

Palestinian leaders are not making life any simpler for Columbia University and its president, Lee C. Bollinger.

In recent days, both Mahmoud Abbas and Khaled Mashaal have likened Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip to the Nazi Holocaust, in which 6 million Jews were systematically and deliberately slaughtered.

The problem for Columbia and Bollinger, who welcome Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites to speak on campus (and to teach there whenever possible), is that the Palestinians are comparing what is going on now in the Gaza Strip to an event that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tells the world never even happened.

Which terrorists should Columbia and Bollinger support going forward? Which terrorists should next be honored with a platform at the university?

Let us break this down; starting with Ahmadinejad, who is not only an avowed Holocaust denier, he actually hosted a global conference in Iran that drew a crowd of anti-Semitic paranoids just like himself.

Ordinarily, what a whacked out leader of Iran who denies the Holocaust says or does would be of little interest to sane people. But Bollinger and Columbia wanted their students to hear first hand from Ahmadinejad, so last September 24, they turned their campus over to the blood-drenched madman in the name of free speech and academic inquiry.

Ahmadinejad made no excuses for his Holocaust denials and used the event to blast western ideals, America, Zionists, and whoever else came to mind. (Back at home, Ahmadinejad enjoys torturing his own people, especially gays and women who dare be accused of immodesty, whether or not the accusations are true.)

Well Columbia and Bollinger just love providing free speech platforms to those who hate America. By contrast, the campus has run off military recruiters and other American patriots who had the chutzpah to love the United States or preach defense of its borders from illegal immigrants.

Now comes Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority (and himself a terrorist in diplomat’s clothing) who calls Israel’s response to daily bombardments of its civilian population “worse than the Holocaust.”

No one, not Abbas, not Ahmadinejad, not Bollinger and not Columbia seem to be bothered by the fact that the Palestinians in Gaza – which is no longer occupied – each day send rockets to kill innocent Jews across the border in Sedorot and Ashkelon. Just imagine if everyday the residents of Tijuana were shooting rockets and killing folks in San Diego!

Killing and maiming Jews is okay.

But when those damn Jews fight back and some terrorists and Palestinian innocents shed blood, well, it is worse than the Holocaust. Much worse.

Khaled Mashaal, the leader of Hamas, who hides under a rock somewhere in Syria and slithers out periodically to proclaim the forthcoming demise of Israel, also describes Israel’s defense against his rockets “the real Holocaust.”

Moreover, Mashaal says that Israel exaggerates the Nazi Holocaust and uses it “to blackmail the world.”

And, pity, him, then there is Lee C. Bollinger.

Bollinger desperately wants to do the right thing and wants to invite the right terrorists to campus. He wants to make sure the truest of Holocaust deniers are given a platform at Columbia to insure the academic integrity of the campus. But whom to believe: Ahmadinejad the full out denier, or Mashaal and Abbas, who want to compare their misery to that of the Jews of Europe during World War II, but each of whom has a different version of how little the Jews actually suffered at the hands of the Nazis?

Let this be a lesson to all university administrators: There is always another evil tyrant just around the corner begging to borrow some of your campus’s credibility to promote his sick views. If you play favorites too soon, some of the best terrorists may be excluded from your future invitation rosters.

Choose your terrorists and genocidal maniacs wisely. It's a lesson Lee Bollinger has learned the hard way.

Bollinger no doubt would have made for Mughniyeh, putting him down before giving him a worldwide stage to express his views.”

Bnai Haman called upon the United Nations and especially its High Commissioner for Human Rights, Louise Arbour, to protect other terrorists from assassination before they’ve had their opportunity to address students in the U.S. generally, and at Columbia specifically.

For more information, visit www.leebollinger-bnaihaman.com.

And so it begins.

Robert Kraft, who continued to funnel large financial contributions to Columbia University even after the University invited Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to disgrace its campus, has tasted the power of the ‘Curse of Ahmadinejad.’

Standby. Kraft is just the first of many Columbia University apologists who will find their once good fortunes bankrupted.

In what many believe is the greatest Super Bowl upset ever, the New York Giants emerged victorious, trumping the previously 18-0 New England Patriots in the final seconds of the game following a truly miraculous 83-yard, 12-play drive. During that drive, Giants quarterback Eli Manning was swarmed under by Patriots defenders, only to emerge from the scrum to throw a game-saving pass to David Tyree, who caught the ball on the tips of his fingers and steadied it with his head as he fell to the ground.

Somewhere in heaven, the spirits of Mordechai and Esther are smiling broadly.

Don’t believe this relates to the Ahmadinejad speech? Don’t believe that Robert Kraft is now cursed? Be patient. In the months and years to come, you will likewise see the dreams and careers of other Columbia University perpetrators – including Lee C. Bollinger, John H. Coatsworth and Richard W. Bulliet – slip through their hands like the Super Bowl XLII trophy that Robert Kraft had oh-so-close to his grasp.

You see, Columbia University committed a crime against decency when it invited Ahmadinejad to speak on campus last September 24th. A-Jad is an avowed anti-gay, anti-women, anti-American, anti-Semite who dreams of nuking Israel and then America off the face of the planet.

The Columbia University administration, led by the deeply, deeply misguided Bollinger, invited A-Jad to speak on campus in the name of academic freedom. Bad enough.

What is worse, however, is that the Board of Trustees of Columbia University, of which Kraft is a member emeritus and large donors such as Kraft, remained publicly silent. Deadly silent.

We will leave it to heavenly judges to decide whether the many good things that Kraft has done in his life are to be offset by his acquiescence in the matter of the genocidal A-Jad. But what is undeniable is this: Kraft is more likely to be remembered for this year’s utterly amazing Super Bowl loss than for his previous or future victories.

There once was a powerful and self-confident statesman in ancient Persia who – like Kraft – thought himself invincible. Haman’s plan was to murder all the Jews, just like Ahmadinejad’s current ambition. Both men failed to see that all their earthly powers didn’t amount to fingernail dirt on the cosmic plane.

Haman was hung on the very gallows he built for the Jews. Ahmadinejad, too, will fall to his own evil schemes. And as for Kraft, Bollinger, Coatsworth and Bulliet – not to mention the 22 members of the Columbia University Board of Trustees – well, we wouldn’t be betting on their winning any Super Bowls anytime soon.

Bad enough.

“Like Franklin D.
Bnai Haman acknowledged the many worthy causes – both Jewish and non-Jewish that Kraft and his family have funded over the years. “In our playbook, however, victory in one arena doesn’t mitigate a moral silence elsewhere,” Bnai Haman said.

New York, NY (PRWEB> December 24, 2007 – On the three-month anniversary of the speech by Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the campus of Columbia University, a group of alumni and concerned citizens have inducted the university’s entire Board of Trustees into its exclusive membership society.

Bnai Haman, in a pre-Christmas meeting, voted unanimously to include all 23 members of the Columbia University Board among its 2007 inductees. They join Columbia University President Lee C. Bollinger, who introduced Ahmadinejad and supported his campus visit, as well as John H. Coatsworth and Richard W. Bulliet, two academics who made the formal arrangements for the September 24, 2007 Ahmadinejad appearance.

The speech by Ahmadinejad set off a firestorm of worldwide condemnation, although Bollinger, Coatsworth and Bulliet defended the invitation as an act of academic inquiry and the Columbia Board of Trustees offered support by consistently remaining silent on the matter.

“When we weighed all the evidence, and with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight, we realize that the troika of Bollinger, Coatsworth and Bulliet couldn’t have succeeded without the support of the Board of Trustees,” Bnai Haman said. “These 23 men and women must also be remembered for their role in the A-Jad speech,” the group said.

The new inductees, who have a dedicated web site at www.columbiatrustees-bnaihaman.com, are:

Avanessians – Goldman, Sachs & Co.
• A’Lelia Bundles – Author, On Her Own Ground
• José Cabranes – United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
• Stephen Case – Cohen & Company, LLC
• William V. Kaplan – Circle Financial Group
• Mark E. Kingdon – Kingdon Capital Management
• Marilyn Laurie – Laurie Consulting, Inc.
• Gerry Lenfest – Philadelphia Museum of Art (Board Chairman)
• Philip Milstein – Ogden CAP Properties, LLC
• Vikram Pandit – Formerly with Morgan Stanley
• Michael B. Wu – Wayne State University School of Medicine

Bnai Haman chose its name, which translated from Hebrew means ‘Children of Haman,’ because like the evil Haman, a 6th Century Persian who plotted to kill all Jews, Ahmadinejad, too, has expressed the desire to wipe Israel and the Jews off the map.

Bnai Haman works to remind the world of the lessons learned by the Ahmadinejad speech and to forewarn other universities and academics about the price to be paid for permitting dictators, terrorists and other villains to use their institutions as a platform for promoting hate speech.

In those cases, we Barnard/Columbia alumnae/i are "outsiders." But outsiders were allowed to have a voice at Columbia last week when the university invited the President of Iran to speak. Ahmadinejad is well known for his remarks calling for the destruction of Israel and the denial of the Holocaust. Ahmadinejad is known to have the blood of American soldiers on his hands - for selling advanced weaponry used to target Americans and innocent Iraqis, for calling for the destruction of Israel. Bollinger called it an issue of freedom of speech, but that is an excuse. Ahmadinejad had a platform at the UN. He had a platform on 60 Minutes. He had a platform with the national press. He didn't need a platform at Columbia and it is to Columbia's endless shame that they rushed to give it to him.

There was no open microphone at the event - it appears that only dictators and anti-Semites have a platform at Columbia these days. So - following is a dialog that was denied:

Bollinger: Second, to those who believe that this event never should have happened, that it is inappropriate for the University to conduct such an event, I want to say that I understand your perspective and respect it as reasonable.

If the perspective was reasonable - that it was inappropriate to invite him, he shouldn't have been invited.

Bollinger: Fourth, to be clear on another matter - this event has nothing whatsoever to do with any "rights" of the speaker but only with our rights to listen and speak. We do it for ourselves.
<!--
D(["mb","\u003cbr\>Then why was there no open microphone to ask him questions? This annual total includes at least two children - further proof, as Human Rights Watch puts it, that Iran leads the world in executing minors. There is more. Iran hanged up to 30 people this past July and August during a widely reported suppression of efforts to establish a more open, democratic society in Iran. Many of these executions were carried out in public view, a violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Iran is a party.\u003cbr\>And so we ask again...why give this murderer, this supporter of hatred a platform?\u003cbr\>\u003cbr\>>Bollinger: In a December 2005 state television broadcast, you described the Holocaust as a "fabricated" "legend." One year later, you held a two-day conference of Holocaust deniers. For the illiterate and ignorant, this is dangerous propaganda. When you come to a place like this, this makes you, quite simply, ridiculous. You are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated. You should know that Columbia is a world center of Jewish studies and now, in partnership with the YIVO Institute, of Holocaust studies. Since the 1930s, we've provided an intellectual home for countless Holocaust refugees and survivors and their children and grandchildren. The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history. Because of this, and for many other reasons, your absurd comments about the "debate" over the Holocaust both defy historical truth and make all of us who continue to fear humanity's capacity for evil shudder at this closure of memory, which is always virtue's first line of defense.",1]
